We are looking for postdocs to develop theoretical approaches on topics related to synaptic plasticity and learning, network dynamis and neural circuit development. We collaborate with expeirmentalists who provide us with data to constrain our models and test our hypotheses, so an interest in data analysis is required. Model systems include rodent and human cortex, as well as learning centers (e.g. the mushroom body) in the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, but other systems are also possible. Applicants should have a strong quantitative background (in mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, or related fields) and good programming skills (Matlab, C/C++ or Python).
