Lab outing to Partnachklamm 2018
This lab outing send us on a hiking trip to Partnach Gorge in the south of Bavaria. After a short breakfast in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, we hiked towards the gorge. We had lunch up in the mountains. Even the weather turned out much better than expected. To successfully end the day, we enjoyed dinner with beer at the Andechs Abbey.
Soapbox Science Munich 2018
This year, the first Munich Soapbox Science event took place at Odeonsplatz. Soapbox Science is a novel public outreach platform for promoting women scientists and the science they do. The events transform public areas into arenas for learning and scientific debate and bring cutting edge science to the public, in an accessible, fun and un-intimidating way. Congratulations to both Johanna Kobler, who was one of the organizers, and Catherine-Marie Blais and Julia Claussen, who volunteered and helped to make this event a great success!
Weihenstephaner Berglauf 2018
Under the nickname "flyosophers" our lab members bravely defied the rain and conquered the Weihenstephaner Berg twice! Congratulations to Catherine-Marie Blais, Jean-Francois De Backer, Anna Erb and Johanna Kobler for the great job and amazing team work!
