The protein analytics via mass spectrometric approaches has developed into the central technology in proteomics. This involves, corresponding requirements for the processing of arising data, among other things with appropriate bioinformatic approaches. In this diploma thesis a specific database will be designed that is optimised for the interpretation of mass spectrometric data. In the process, particular attention will be paid to the clustering of equivalent and mass spectrometric distinguishable as well as non-distinguishable proteins and the storage of protein variants from public databases. Thereby a cluster will contain former versions, not found in actual databases anymore, of the representative protein. This specific protein database will be created and automatically updated on the basis of the instituts SIMAP infrastructure.
